Water Treatment Works

Start with the person holding the hose.

Hose reels for water and wastewater treatment works

The extra walk to fetch a hose. The loop that catches on the same corner. The untangling before the cleaning can begin.

You learn to allow for these things. After a while, they become part of the routine.

The effort is still there. It just stops being noticed.

A well-chosen hose reel can take some of that effort out of the day. Choosing one means paying attention to the person who will use it: where they work, what they need to reach, and how they leave the area when they’re done.

Those decisions become part of someone’s working day.

Cleaning around inlet screens

Regular cleaning around screens and compactors is easier to get on with when the hose is already close to hand. A reel near the working area reduces the fetching and untangling that can surround a simple clean-up.

For a job that comes round again and again, that effort is worth noticing.

Washdown in sludge handling areas

Around centrifuges and sludge collection points, the hose needs somewhere to go after washdown. A reel keeps it stored off the floor between jobs and makes it easier to leave the area ready for the next person.

Whoever comes next gets to start with their own job.

Storm tank washdown

Where storm tanks are cleaned manually, a reel at the designated cleaning point can keep a suitable length of hose available for the clean-down.

There can be plenty to put back in order after wet weather. Having the hose in place gives you one less thing to organise before you begin.

Cleaning during maintenance

Cleaning a removed pump or component can make inspection easier. A reel at the maintenance wash area keeps a suitable hose ready, then stores it clear of the working space afterwards.

More room to get on with the equipment in front of you.

Good equipment earns its place quietly.

You notice it in small ways. The hose reaches the job. It’s ready when you need it. When you finish, there’s a proper place for it.

You might never think about who chose it. You can tell they thought about you.

That is where we start at Hose Reels Direct: with the work. Tell us what you’re washing, where you need to reach, and about the water supply and conditions on site. We’ll help match the reel, hose and nozzle to the job.

You’ve got a whole works to look after.
The hose should be the easy part.
